The Pack Lands

Queen gasped as sue saw Silver washed down stream Queen helped as she was token under also she slowly was carried far down stream she reached where Her friend Silver had washed out Queen kept floating from shock she rushed up out of the water on to the surfaces as she gasped for air she whimpered " guys!?" she whimpered as she layed there on the edge of the water as her black due was soaked and shiny; Queen fell into a deep sleep before starting to dream

( Queen is far down stream; she was walking in the middle looking at all the antsnand walking to Soran and Mahina and then she ended up pushed away by the fast current)

Maiara had heard the dull rumbling of thunderous water, but before she could react herself she saw Silver leap towards her,
"Silver no!" she attempted to call out. With the creek water beating down the empty trench so swiftly, there was no way she could get out of the way in time. But she had called out too late, and the silver-white she-wolf came ramming into her side, nearly getting her to shore, but not quite. The alphess landed on her side, looking up just in time to see, with widened eyes, the life giving water rise high above her like a storm cloud, and come crashing down, pulling her away from the others, and downstream. The initial impact of the water kept her pinned to the smooth bed, the current making her twist and writhe as though she were no more than a rag doll. The world was whirling all around her in grey waters as she was tossed around. Lost in the confusion, she was neither one place, nor another, constantly moving, constantly being pulled farther and farther away. Finally, the wrathful water pounded her into its bed, with a sickening crunch, and the air released from Maiara's lungs. The pain rippled spasmatically through her body like the unpredictable current that kept her under. But, ignoring the biting pain, using her last reserves of strength, the alphess fought for the surface.

Kira was frozen in fear. She watched, her eyes wide as the scene took place. Before long, however, she snapped out of it. " Silver!" she barked, quickly sprinting to where Silver had reached shore. "Are you ok?" she asked, panting. "Wait...Queen isn't with you?" she asked. Her icy eyes shone brightly as the sun hit them and she panted heavily from her sprint downstream. She was so panicked she failed to notice the unknown male that was with the two of them.

Kira reluctantly nodded to her friend and bounded downstream, looking for any sign of Queen. She whined as she saw nothing. She was about to give up when she saw a faint glimpse of something black. She sped up, trying to get a better look. "Queen?! Queen?!" she barked repeatedly.

Soran's lungs were on fire as he felt jaws clamp heavily around his scruff, but the white water that was rolling around them had made his fur slick and he felt himself slipping from Mahina’s grasp. The male managed to gulp down one last bit of air before his head crashed beneath the surface once more. The dark water rolled around him before he managed to use his reserved energy in one last kick to the surface. His legs tensed as he prepared to launch from the rocky bottom up towards fresh air, but before he could release his muscles, a protruding rock made contact with his left forepaw. A sickening crunch could be heard under the flooding creek as his paw was snapped. The hunter let out a bark that was muffled by the surrounding liquid and he struggled to the surface once more. The pain had not started, but it was only a matter of time before he would be tortured by it wrath. As soon as his head hit cool air he let out a growling bark.

Desperate to find solid land, Soran whirled around in the water. Twigs and logs rolled by, missing his fur by inches. As he struggled blindly, his eye caught another shape floating helplessly in the current. Maiara’s small sandy frame appeared lifeless, “Airs!” He called desperately, fighting towards her with his three good paws. The current however, appeared to have done all the work. Bracing himself, the brown male smacked head on into the Alpha. The collision made his head spin, but he gripped the scruff of Maiara’s neck as the Creek carried them farther though the territory.

Just as Maiara thought she was about to break to the surface, driven mad by the need for oxygen, instinctually she gasped for air. But, instead of the fresh breath of air that she had hoped for and expected, cold, dark water flooded into her lungs. Panic grasped at her with fingers of tangled water plants and obstinate moss, and the alphess could feel her last burst of strength leave her. It was just then, as she allowed all hopes of returning to dry land leave her, as she allowed her body to go limp as it was continuessly battered by the current, and as her eyes began to droop closed, that something rammed into her already bruised and broken side. She held back the scream that could not be cried out in the depths of the water as the pain ripped through her, her eyes popping open. She felt strong jaws grab her by the scruff and heave her so her head was just above water. Here she coughed and sputtered, trying to get the dampness out of her lungs while feebly treading water in an attempt to make things easier on whovever had saved her. As she continued to cough up water, and spit the foul stuff from her mouth, she looked over to see a figure with brown fur, dark and sleek from the water. Somehow, even without fully seeing him, she recognized him immediately.
"So you found the water eh?" she managed to croak softly, a weak smile on her mouth until another bout of coughing came along. While the two wolves continued to be pulled further away, the sheer length of the creek amazed Maiara,
"How much longer will it be until we reach an oppurtunity to return to land? Or will we be pulled along forever, until sinking breathless under the water's pall?"

Queen heard faint calls of Kira; She mumbled, feeling weak. Before she dragged herself away from the pack, she slowly fell still her lungs full of water; as she Coughed loudly. Queens lungs were filled with lots of water which caused a hard time with breathing; she whined trying to find Kiras voice the Voice echoed from no where.. she couldn't find the way. Queen sighed to a mummble

Kira perked her ears as she heard coughing. "Queen, Im coming!" she barked. She quickly began looking for a way to get her out of the raging water. She kept bounding, dangerously close to the water as she kept glancing back at Queen and then searching for a way to get her out. She then studied the water closely...it had to thin out somewhere, right? The thought struck her. Once Queen reached the area that the current wasn't as strong in, Kira could jump in after her and not get herself carried away. "Queen, just go with the current!" she barked.

Queen nodded slowly as her body dragged under the shallow water as she pushed her self up sighed she moaned "Help Kira." she had no energy her words Slured as she sighed as the current got slower as she moaned again

As soon as Kira saw Queen reach the shallower part of the river she took the chance. She bounded to the edge and leapt off, making a splash in the water. As she waded over, she could still feel what impact the current had, even in the shallows. She looked upstream and frowned...many of the others had not been spotted yet. She then turned her attention back to Queen. She grabbed onto her scruff and pulled as hard a she could. Queen being soaking wet most definitely did not help, and dragging her to safety was going to be a big effort. She continued pulling, making slow but steady progress. Eventually she reached land and managed to pull her head onto the bank. "Are you ok?" she panted.

Mahina had no choice but to let go, but as she did the log slipped away from her, leaving the wolfess with no support as another wave crashed over her. The force of the wave pushed Mahina away from the surface, as she fought with her front paws to get back up. She felt her tail slide over the pebbles as she sunk further into the hungry waters. With slow strokes, Mahina let her front paws land on the pebbles, until she was almost standing on the creek bed. She was about to push up, when she felt a jab at her side, her mouth opened, and a muffled sound that sounded like a scream escaped her. Now desperate to reach the surface, Mahina pushed off with her front paws on the next rock, allowing the wolfess to float up to the surface.

At last she felt the cool air of the night once more, her mouth gaped open as she gasped for air. There was no use looking for a log, there was hardly anything she could see in the dark. Every so often she would be pulled down again, using every bit of her strength to struggle back up. Mahina wasn't quite sure what has happened to her leg, but she was pretty sure it was broken, as it flowed limply in the water. Deciding it was not in her power to reach shore herself, Mahina let out a weak cry. "Help..." She hardly got the plee out before she was pulled under again, her front legs failing at that moment.

Queen Started to Cough; a lot of water came out of her throat as she moaned "I am not sure.." she studed and wanting to get up but she was to weak; she sighed "just go look for others.. i will lay here and sleep until i get my energy to walk" she whispered coughing up more water

"No...I will stay here and make sure you are ok. There isn't much anything I can do until they get washed down here anyways." she said. "However, I may travel up a few meters to see if I see anyone in the water" she said, flicking her tail.

Queen grunted "No.. There is more to need help" she said pulling her weak body up as she lost her ground and fell to the ground she sighed laying down "I will be fine" she said in a voice meaning she was fine

"Queen, its dark. There are all sorts of animals that could be lurking. I am not leaving you alone. That is final." she barked. She felt bad making it sound the way she had but she couldn't leave her. Even if she did go, there was no way she could see anything well in the dark, and with the river dangerously close.

Queen growled "Go and help others; I will make my way back" she groaned pushing herself up to a sitting set she moaned and Sighed started to walk as she grew dizzy and sat down "In a long time"

Kira ignored her comment and sat down, watching the water intently. Once Queen felt a little better they would head back, she decided. She flattened her ears as the worry crept back into her mind. Soran...Mahina...Maiara...they were still missing.

Queen lifted her body again and walking a bit and said "come on!" she moaned walking before she sat down sighing "I feel like a Loser" she mummbled frowning to the ground

Mahina dared to open her eyes. She was still under the water, but close enough to the surface that she could make out the shapes of things above her. She was about to accept the fact she didn't have the strength to swim up when she saw two shapes, they looked like wolves, and she could tell by that white pelt, one of them was Silver. It took a strike of luck for the wolfess to push herself up, breaking the surface a little bit before she legs failed again, but she stayed atop. "Silver!" She gasped, fighting to stay up.
