Leone stepped forward a few paces, "Yes that would be great." He looked around the area of other wolves in case they were listening or around them, then he looked back at the female with hes dark blue eyes. "So where are the rest of you wolves" Leone said in a cool voice

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Post by Annessa September 26th 2012, 5:55 pm

Twigs snapped as Annessa wandered through the forest, too busy admiring the beauty of the place to care about the amount of noise she was creating. The walk was quite relaxing, and the white female regretted her previous decision to ignore the peaceful forest area. The wolf continued to wander, before finally, after what could have been hours or mere minutes, decided to relax even further and sat down at the base of a tree. She looked up at the sky and the leaves of the trees, yawning. Maybe this place wasn't so bad. It was still too warm for her to be truly comfortable, but it still wasn't a terrible land.

She sat there, staring off into the distance and at nothing in particular, when she finally noticed the scents of others. She blinked, wondering how she had failed to notice it right away. Deciding it didn't matter, - she wasn't alone, surely that was a good thing! - Annessa stood and sniffed the air, trying to find where the scent had come from. Then, finding it, she strode off in the direction of the other wolves. She wondered if she had stumbled across a pack, and if she had, if they would accept her. She had been alone for quite some time, she'd be happy to be accepted into a new pack, regardless of rank or, well, anything.

Finally, the group of wolves came into Annessa's sight, and their voices to her ears. They didn't look unfriendly, or sound unfriendly. She still didn't know if they were part of a pack or not, though. The female watched them for a bit, unsure if she should approach or not. With most decisions, she simply went with her first thought. This, though, this was risky and required a bit more thought. The wolf shook her head. More thought required or not, the answer was obvious, wasn't it? She had to at least say hello. She might be intruding on their territory, in fact she very likely was intruding on their territory. She at least owed them an explanation. If they wanted one.

Annessa slowly approached the group, making sure to appear as if she wasn't a threat. After all, she wasn't a threat, she definitely didn't want to seem like one. She stopped a fair distance away from them - close enough to speak with them, but not too close so as to seem threatening or to make them uncomfortable. "Hello," she said, figuring a simple greeting would suffice for the time being. She'd answer questions if they asked. For now, she saw no reason to say anything more than 'hello'.

Leone, it is required that there be at least 3 sentences in your post.

!New Miniature Plot!
Quiet conversation between Falco and Karma alike evaded the alpha's ears like passing clouds masked by the trees above her head. It was not intentionally done, but composed of obvious distraction, displayed and unmasked upon her strangely marked face.. Something was up with the air, it seemed thick and cool. As well, it was humid, and almost static and electricy. This was enough of a familiar feeling, it was not uncommon for storms to pass; it was not the simple light difference one might be able to detect when a small storm was passing. No, it was significantly more potent, and strong, then that. Her eyes were glazed over, as if not in use. After all, it was her nose, ears, and general feeling senses she was occupied with. Sight, in the thick forestry, gave her no way of seeing possible danger. The smell allowed her to pick up the humidity and the smell of wet grass, that might be in the distance. Her ears could possibly pick up the quiet, yet distinct rumbles of thunder. And, her skin, though within her coat, was reliable for both humidity and generally feeling the sticky air. Looking up now, her blue eyes caught the small pricks of clouds above. At first, when she looked, the clouds were parted and some blue could be seen every few moments. But within about two minutes, this all but changed, as those no longer appeared. Perhaps the clouds were getting thicker? Was a storm on the horizon?

"It is marvelous to see that the pack still remains as one. I feared that the storms might have caused dispersal."

Storms? Yes. Though the true meaning of what Karma had uttered evaded her, the word 'Storm' was like a trigger. Breaking from her frozen state, the wolf rose to her paws, her eyes and ears alert. "Stormss..." She tasted the word with a quiet murmur, allowing her mind to place a picture in her head, to fathom if there was a chance. It comprehended. Perhaps, there was a storm on the horizon, and by the feel of it, headed their way. Flicking her tail, without a word, the female swept off quickly like that of a ghost. The only thing that caused her to pause lightly, was the scent of Gale on the wind. It was only for a split second, and just a light jerk as she almost stopped. But nonetheless, she continued on her own way, plans of returning right afterwards fresh on her mind.

Soon as she cleared view of those near, her pace increased stride by stride, her paw steps from whispers of disturbance to audible, obvious ta-rum's of movement. She simply needed a better view. And she dare not trek miles to the mountains, or to the plains beyond. However, just a short ways off, perhaps the hillier forests that bordered thickly around the mountains would provide a view. This was proved to be correct as the terrain grew hillier and rougher, quite quickly. She was forced to slow her pace and take more of her time to navigate this. And, with a final lurch over a hill, she beheld the sights beyond.

A storm cell, just miles off, rumbled deeply, as if the roars of some prehistoric beast. Its underlying clouds flashed, illuminating the thick grey material that occupied the space of its depths. Its rumbles and roars were like that of a prehistoric beast, as if the territory of the banishing winds was its prey. Concern illuminated the alpha’s eyes as she watched it, rolling its clouds as it seemed to barrel towards the territory. If this cloud, this dragon of a storm, were on the hunt for the banishing winds, it was no longer stalking. It was full blown sprint by now, and the wolves here were helpless to evade it. She only watched it for a few more moments, dim realization of their danger here obviously displayed upon her features. Only once had she seen a storm of this magnitude, and it had not been fun.. She could not help herself but feel a tinge of fear by now. A gust of wind ruffled her pelt. This was the time she needed to return. Whirling around quickly, she thundered off into the forest, just as hurried as before, but now it had the light ghost of concern for the wolves here mingled with her movement. Just a few moments it took, for her to reach the wolves she had been grouped with previously.

”A storm is coming.” She whispered with the rasp of pants, her eyes were distracted easily, flicking and moving from left to right, as she stood at rest, but just for a few moments. Though she was concerned for the well being of the territory and her pack, she was somewhat excited. The power of storms, though dangerous, had always caught her curiosity. But none of these extra feelings showed at the moment, only a calm and cautious female was there visible. She, other than that, was not sure what else to say, finding herself out of any expression for the new storm. So, she stood silently, her mind fathoming what was to come as she waited to see Karma and Falco’s reactions.

So, we have a new plot. This storm will be governed and controlled by only council members. It will arrive when they say so, and certain elements such as hail, wind, tornadoes, rain, and lightning should be left for them to control. Members, please remember, do not try to control this storm yourself, or to move or manipulate it as you would a character. If you want to ask if a specific thing be added (Tree falling on your character, etc) it would be wonderful if you asked first and made sure it has our approval and whatnot. Thanks, and enjoy!

You’re now free to notice it and whatnot and hear it and feel some gusts of wind from the direction as it comes closer.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Falco-1

"You seem particularly jovial,"
"It is marvelous to see that the pack still remains as one. I feared that the storms might have caused dispersal."
"So, I hear that you're Delta now. Congratulations,"

Falco looked to Karma, he was 'jovial' as she put it, simply because he had a friend. Of course Linnea and Crimson were friends too, as well as Adena, and a few of the others, but they were more like business buddies. Where Karma was a friend. He was happy because he had found it difficult to talk to the other members of the pack, as they all had their own little groups, and Falco really had none. His ears flattened slightly at the thought.

He was a Loner in amongst the pack. He gave a small sigh, but then shook the thoughts from his mind, he was happy, he had to be happy. Karma was back from the dead! One of the original wolves of the Banishing Winds! He gave a smile, but then there was the mention of storms. Falco remembered the fire... Flames had licked at his heals, and ash scored his paw pads. A shudder went down his spine at the reminder of it.

A small boom of Thunder clapped a few kilometres away. Falco had dismissed it. He gave a smile to Karma as she congratulated him on his delta position.
"Thanks Karma, I am.. Jovial because your the first friend I've had in a few years..." he spoke the last quietly, for a small fear that Linnea may hear it, and not understand.

”A storm is coming.”

Falco glanced to Linnea, She didn't like storms? Falco's ears perked to her. He then smelt the air and could smell the rain on its way. He gave a small shrug.
"It smells just like a small Thunder-Storm Linnea, I'm sure its nothing to worry about... Are you scared of thunder?" he paused before the question realising that the female might have a fear of storms, and decided to ask. Falco sat calmly. He quite enjoyed Thunder and the rain.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Post by Calico Jackie September 29th 2012, 7:10 pm

I’m terribly sorry for my horrid activity here. School has completely taken over, and I rarely have moments to get online. I will try and post when I can, but for now, here is this little drabble. It’s physically impossible for me to write short posts.

Thankfully, the Scholar had not chosen to reply, and so their journey continued on in silence. It had started as a simple exploratory jaunt, a mere stroll through the trees to see what shade of green the grass was. Now, the scoundrel wanted nothing more than to flee back to the seashore, to the waves, to the palms, and escape this all-for-one-and-one-for-all nonsense. It was nauseating.

She muttered several oaths and continued walking. In an effort to escape the troubling thoughts that had appeared over the course of this expedition, Jackie turned her senses outward. The woods around them were all coniferous in nature. Their fallen needles created a spongy carpet over the Earth that was relatively easy on the paws, but the red wolf preferred beach sand. A hollow breath whistled as it escaped her nose. Just as a plant needs sun to bloom, so did the rogue require the ocean.

Almost like an answer to her lamenting sigh, the wind picked up then, rustling the pines and poplars about them with a sound much like two alligators chatting (How she longed to see one of those reptilian behemoths again!). The red wolf paused with nose inclined slightly upward. That gust, unusual and random as it was, carried a faint, yet familiar scent. The black flesh twitched as it worked, testing the air again and again.

Salt.

Jackie’s eyes widened until they looked like two golden centimes in her sockets. The scent was unmistakable: it was the sea. Her pulse quickened, her very being brightened at this small whiff. Those wide eyes turned to the sky, to the eastern shoreline. The horizon hung heavy with ominous clouds. Every few moments, a fierce flash of lightning would tear through the darkness, coupled with the distant grumbling of thunder. She now noticed the increase in humidity, though it did not bother her in the slightest; rather, it exhilarated. Many moons had passed since the last time she had witnessed a true tropical maelstrom. The scoundrel grinned.

With newfound zeal, Calico began to sprint in the direction of the tempest. Every fiber of her being longed to be there when the first raindrops struck the ground, to stand on the shore and let the wind pelt her face with sand, to smell the moist maritime air, to be in the thick of it- that was what she wanted. Not an ounce of fear could be found within her. This scoundrel had, after all, weathered dozens upon dozens of storms in her lifetime. Hurricanes were one of the natural hazards of living near the Caribbean, in the Everglades- anywhere near the ocean, which she had been close to since birth. Her earliest memories were of playing in the warm rains and feeling the thunder in her chest.

For once, she did not feel it necessary to banish these remembrances from her mind. These did not carry the usual traces of bitterness and hatred that clung to every other inkling of her past. An animated cackle escaped her lips. We’re in for it now! The rogue halted. We… She suddenly wished lightning would strike her down in that moment, for she had forgotten the band of dogs that now regarded her as an equal. The grin vanished, exchanged for an annoyed scowl. Those fools wouldn’t know what t’ do with a hurricane if it sat right down an’ told ‘em! Several more oaths were muttered.

Begrudgingly, the scoundrel altered her course. Instead of the shore, she ran inland to the pack’s current den with the intention of finding one of the alphas and… helping them? No, that wasn’t the right word. Helping would mean protecting them from danger, as her given rank entailed. She couldn’t bring herself to worry that much, not yet, anyway. I’ll simply point out the demon, not bless the house, she decided, punctuating the thought with a firm nod of her head. And abandon ship, if need be. The grin returned.

It was only a few moments more before the trees disappeared completely, revealing a secluded clearing that was the pack’s den site. Jackie slowed her pace to an even trot and caught her breath. Quickly, her eyes scanned the area and picked out a group of three wolves huddled together, conversing about some pack nonsense, most likely. She stifled a huff of disdain and made her way over.

The first wolf her eyes focused on was the tall fellow with the steely grey eyes (Falco), for he was facing in her direction. She hadn’t interacted much with him, and had only caught glimpses of him every once in a while. He seemed to be someone who would follow their leader to the end, the loyal do-good type that always made her eyes narrow with antipathy. Loyalty was as foolish as kindness in her world. It suited him.

The next face she saw was that of the alphess herself. Linnea, she recalled, stood while the others sat on their haunches. Jackie hadn’t talked with her since joining this group of dogs, yet the way the others acted around her was enough to assess her character by. The fae was a natural leader, it seemed. Even now, with the approaching storm, she wore a placid expression. The darting about of her eyes was enough to betray how disconcerted she truly was. The thief smirked at this.

The third wolf (Karma) was the most intriguing. Their back was to the approaching red wolf, though she was fairly certain she had not seen her before. This fae’s pelt was one of cloudy black with the occasional hint of silver. She was slim, perhaps a bit gaunt, and had several scars. Jackie’s eyes traveled instantly to the missing half of her right ear. The injury, and the wolf in general, greatly piqued her curiosity. She made a note to watch that one closely.

Her inner thoughts concerning the three wolves before her were masked with an amiable twinkle in her dark-rimmed eyes and a lopsided smile. Calico drew nearer to the circle, loosely brushing the black fae’s shoulder before coming to a stop between Linnea and the stranger. She bowed her head in deference to the alphess, but the word “Captain” stuck fast in her throat. Old habits, she conceded bitterly. For a brief moment, she looked to the ebony-colored stranger. The glance was equal parts interest and hauteur. She turned away.

With a small cough to clear her throat, the Guardian addressed the alphess. ”Permission t’ speak freely, miss?” she requested, tone relatively neutral. The scoundrel doubted the other two wolves were listening closely enough to detect the hints of insolence and ridicule in this formal address. She chafed at any sort of authority, especially the ignorant sort. I’ll simply point out the demon, not bless the house, she repeated within her mind. The rogue would warn them of the oncoming danger, perhaps explain her history with such tropical disturbances, and be on her way. If the fools didn’t listen… Can’t say I didn’t try. Despite these thoughts, the red wolf still felt uneasy. She shouldn’t even be sparing a breath for them, let alone doing this simple act of relaying vital information about their oncoming doom. The words to be spoken next already tasted bitter on her tongue.

How the mighty have fallen.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Post by Guest September 30th 2012, 12:45 pm

Having eaten her fill, Karma began looking about, trying to make sense of this new territory. She was glad to have Falco there, offering the one sense of familiarity that she was already growing fond of. A soft mutter hit her ears, not long after Falco had spoken, but it had come between her response. What the words were, the dark female hadn't a clue. Yet, Falco cleared them up. A storm?

Rising to her paws, Karma looked at Linnea. Falco had made a light joke about the khaki female being afraid of them, but the golden eyes of the female were on the dark looming cloud in the distance. It was impossible! Had the monstrosity of wind and destruction followed her to this land, too? The sky travels faster than you, dear she told herself. The storm - her storm - would have already come and gone, and yet this land looked untouched. Relief caved in as she realized that they had been safe from that one. But now, a new one loomed.

Another presence came betwixt her and a concerned reaction. This wolf had a unique way of speaking - on that brought back memories of lapping waves and playing with rainbow colored fish. She, too, originates from the sea? thought the dark female, eyeing her as she addressed Linnea. Karma bit her tongue, not wanting to interrupt, but curiosity took the better of her. Stepping to be perched next to Falco, with her fine fur breathing soft breaths of taunting intermingling - almost - with his, she eyed this sailor. "Pardon the interruption, but what is a mermaid like yourself doing amongst the sturdy grounds?" the speech was a little foreign on her tongue, as she had been taught to speak like a "proper wolf" by the first pack she had been a part of. I am a lady she thought tauntingly in their high-and-mighty tip-of-the-tongue accents. How glad Karma was that she was gone from that influence.

Tail waving slightly (more from the breeze than anything else), the shadow tilted her head. Her father had once told her that those who were birthed by the sea (he liked to call them "mermaids" and the label had stuck) tended to stay there, despite the sharks and powerful storms. Karma understood why, but when she saw her first glimpse of a sunset from the peak of a mountain, she had begun to feel that the land may not be that bad. It shifted and changed, bot unlike the sea, but the land had flowers, while the sea had whales. Give and take, I suppose.

"Pardon the interruption, but what is a mermaid like yourself doing amongst the sturdy grounds?"

The thief could feel a pair of eyes on her ever since she had made herself known to this little trio. It was not an unfamiliar sensation; Calico was not exactly inconspicuous in lands such as these, especially with her native brogue. She had lived much of her life surrounded by vagabonds, and so this proper speech struck her ears like a discordant note in a chorus. The decorous language brought a scowl to her features and caused her fur to bristle a bit. Such diction was only used when a superior was addressing a subordinate, something Jackie was decidedly not. Must think herself quite priggish, that one. The sneer couldn’t be helped. Her attention shifted from the khaki alphess to the ebony stranger, the scowl still present. The black fae was regarding her with a curious, critical look. Despite her natural confidence and complete lack of give-a-care, Jackie couldn’t help but shift uncomfortably. The guilty loathe scrutiny.

The scoundrel met that pair of golden eyes with her own challenging gaze. She may have been a cheat and a rascal, but she was not to be talked down to. Before a reply could be made, a sudden thought occurred to her: the Victorian had called her a mermaid. Not gamin, not blackguard, not miscreant- mermaid. This was odd. The fussbudget knows the sea? It was a preposterous notion! Everything was contradictory. The scowl of disdain flickered with something like confusion, but only for a brief moment. Her eyes glinted.

These musings had taken place within the rogue’s mind over the course of a moment. She held the ebony she-wolf’s stare while she answered. ”The tide washes strange things ashore,” replied the thief, tone none too cryptic. She would try and cling to any last vestiges of obscurity in the face of this curious gaze. And yet, part of her was rather curious as well. How on Earth did such a prissy thing know those terms? Was there a hint of recognition in those golden eyes? Why did the scoundrel even care? Blast it all. She bit her tongue to stifle the string of oaths.

At the reaction of the tawny female, Karma's ears fell back slightly. Have I done something wrong? she wondered fretfully. The dark female hated making poor first impressions, as she knew how hard it was to raise one's self up from them. But, the words from the roughened female seemed to make more sense than anything else. Karma dipped her head in agreement, but found herself at a loss for words.

With the rumble of thunder, the chiseled female had given a slight tremor. The ocean-storms were one thing, but the howling vortex of terror that she had seen cause havoc on the home of the humans that had cared for her had left the ex-delta fearful of the land's majestic powerhouse of mother nature. With the wind buffeting her fine fur, Karma stared down at her paws. Indeed the tides have washed up strange things she thought. Silently, she found herself muttering, "Yet they hide even stranger."

Looking solemnly from Linnea, to this new sea-faring stranger, then to Falco and Derek, Karma let out what might be taken as a sigh, but really, she had just really forgotten to release a breath, and it had been held to long. The air was tinged with the musty scent of rain and thunder, but that bothered the hallowed shadow little. It was the thought of what was carried by those winds and rumbles of thunder that caused her to worry. She had just found the Banishing Winds again, what if she lost them again?

Something occurred to her - the Winds were under new leadership. Maybe she would have less of a troubling time trying to get the pack to trust her. Looking at Linnea, Karma wondered what it was that she would be given as a duty within the pack. She held no expectation that she would be put back in the position of delta - for if Falco was now one, she was sure that there was another female that had taken her place. However, this curious stranger had her place in line with Linnea before Karma did, and thus the dark female would wait.

Without thinking about it, her weight shifted to the right to sit lightly upon Falco's shoulder. Karma thought nothing of it, being so engrossed with her own thoughts and worries. She gazed at this female that had reminded her so much of home. Home was not something that she cared too much to think about, but the remembrance was good to keep her grounded for a while. Happiness is too often the cause of downfall she thought worriedly. Her gaze now turned to the earth, where drying grasses were giving way to the wind and to the change of the seasons that was slowly but surely approaching them. Has my season with the Banishing Winds ended, too?

Lucas peered his view at the treeline of the malachite jungle, the dense trees had barely allowed any sunlight to pass through and it seemed extremely dark within the very depths inside this forest. Behind him are open lands that was consisted of dead and spiky grass that had a hue of golden unlike it's original one. (Not Great Plains.) It was uncommon for him to compare two different terrains, the open grassland was dry and impassioned. Even though with the clouds that had obscured the horizon, it seemed a storm was on the way of arrival. This forest seemed wet and refreshing. However, he realized what was he going to confront with coincidence inside, but he wouldn't travel all those miles and an entire pack is in there. He mustn't waste time, after all. He stepped forward with haste, his back straight and his giant pads crunched over the countless tiny broken trunks of the numerous trees surrounding him. His step would produce a thud as they motioned, his pace was clearly straight; it was obvious he was in a hurry. Losing the scent of those wolves would be something he'd have to worry about, and eventually regret.

It has been almost a year since his long journey began, and when he has joined that pack. It is to be replaced with yet another one, that would hopefully last until his final gasp. His crimson tongue flopped down his lower jaws, sleeking with perfect saliva as it dropped down in a careless manner. He was actually hungry to the point of starving, and thirsty to the point of dehydration. Although he didn't mind the penalties that fluttered within his inner system, it was of course due to his insisting personality. A pain had already began to arch through his head, in a slicing strategy, a soft whimper escaped his mouth before his teeth rows had clinched together. Perking his ears backwards, briefly, he began to lengthen his step as his pace transformed from a run into a sprint. His paws reached outwards with enthusiasm, his back legs kicked with strength as he boosted his body forth. He allowed his tongue to flap over his snout once again, the wind had forced to drift from a clear vision to blurry blotches, but he could really care less about it. He was only concerned about finding the pack as soon as possible. Either way, his life is going upside down and that's definitely not going to turn out pretty.

The scents were growing stronger with every stride he covered, he was determined he was going to find someone. Hopefully a few more minutes and he's surely to spot a wolf within the distance.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Post by Annessa October 2nd 2012, 3:59 pm

Annessa watched the strangers she had approached carefully, looking for any reaction to her greeting. So far, she had received none. She supposed it was understandable - she had randomly stumbled upon them, so they had reason to be confused. There was also something.. different. A strange scent on the air. A storm? Yes, possibly a storm. A storm definitely would have gotten their attention. The snow-coloured female took a few steps back, thinking that perhaps it would be better to leave the strangers alone for the time being. But where to go? She could go anywhere, the land seemed endless. She dipped her head respectfully to the wolves, then turned around and resumed her wandering.

The female hadn't gone far when she noticed yet another scent - this one seemed different from the others. Another loner, perhaps? Curiously, she followed the scent, her pace quickening the further she went. It didn't take long for the scents to become stronger and stronger. She was close. And another thing, she was close to the others once again. Was this other loner seeking the same thing she was?

Annessa slowed as she got closer to reaching the stranger. She could just about see them now. They were still moving, though.. that complicated things.. and made them more interesting! The female could have turned around and gone her own way, yes, but she couldn't pass this up, even if it was a bit reckless. She resumed following the unknown wolf, curious to see where they were going, and what their goals were.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Derek had dropped back when Karma and the group had gone to do their thing. He had been close to the female, but it seemed that Flaco had been more so. Not one to rain on someone else Derek disappeared into the forest to be by himself for a while. Memories of the past still plaguing him. He lifted his bulky head to the sky, a storm was coming, for now the male new naught if it would be a mild or strong storm. And he cared little about it. What would happen would happen, it never had a different outcome not matter what he did.

Laying down the dark brown brute closed his grey eyes, not sleeping simply resting, letting his mind wander. It was rare for him mind to be so quite, right about now he usually had another flash back. Not that he was going to complain, he was aware and that was all that mattered.Rolling his shoulders he lifted his noes when a new scent came to him. Two new scent to be exact. His eyes narrowed as he tried to pinpoint where it was coming from. Standing he turned in a slow circle. The storm and it's wind made it hard to tell direction of scent right now, and it confused the trained fighter.

After a minute of searching he located the direction of the strange scents. They were nearby, very close to be exact. "Who is there?" His voice was non-threatening, but still held slight authority, he at least was a part of this pack, they were not.

'Who is there?'

Apache's ears darted upwards from where he had been sitting, unaware of the unfolding drama coming everyone's way. The gray and white scout quickly shot up and darted toward's the lead guardian's voice. "Greetings, Derek." he said. Apache had never really spoke to the wolf before, so why not now maybe? He sighed softly once he saw the dark male. Scents of strange mingled in the air and he looked around. "Strangers..." he muttered. The scout stood with his nose high in the air and tail eract, waiting.

As she walked through the tree’s Aurora had to admit this place was nice. She had been wandering aimlessly for a long time and by far this was the best place to live. Maybe there was even a pack around here? The many scents of wolves sure made it possible. Aurora still wasn’t sure whether or not to confront them yet, she had many past experiences where walking up to a random wolf and saying Hi! wasn’t the best choice. The scents were getting stronger, maybe she should give it a try anyway? Aurora stealthily made her way towards the place where the scents were the strongest. Hoping she wasn’t making too much noise. She then saw a white wolf standing by himself. ‘That’s odd, I was sure there were more!’ she thought to herself. ‘He doesn’t seem too threating, maybe I can risk it?’ She then stepped out warily and without giving any thought to her words at all she repeated a mistake she had made many times before. “Hi!” she said happily. Embarrassment almost made her turn tail and flee, ‘Great way to make an impression Aurora!’ she mentally chided herself. ‘Walking up to a random wolf without knowing who they are and greeting them in a friendly manner like you knew them your entire life wasn’t very smart!’ Aurora sighed wearily getting ready to flee if the wolf turned out to be hostile.
OOC- Aurora talked to Leone, and sorry about the sucky-ness. First time for everything right?

Crimson's ears moved only slightly as sounds of stirring came from the fiery colored female. He did his best to keep his excitment in check, but not all of it could be contianed and tinges of it danced wildy in his gaze. A breath which seemed to have been captured within the alpha's mouth was now released and he listened closely as she repsoneded to his question about being awake. It was true, he had wondered if the female was really sleeping and it was also true that he wanted to supply her with a meal, but in general Crimson had grown accustom to Adena and had already decided that he was in love with his beta female.

"You didn't have to give it to me, Crimson. Linnëa brought it for you, but thank you."

"You're right I didn't have to, but I wanted to and I would give it to you every single time." He said in a jokingly manner, but every word he had said was finely laced with the truth. "Seriously, though don't worry about it Adena."

"Do you want to share?"

With his gaze directly met by that of the silvery blue eyed female, Crimson could barely comprehend what she had just asked. Her voice was so quite and her words came out so hesitantly, it was all just so different but it was a kind of different the alpha of the Winds liked. "Sure, but remember I brought the fish for you and so I automatically call rights to the smallest half."

(Yay! I posted, and even though this is not my BEST one ever...it will do..because I am super super super late on making this post anyways. Sorreh about that Adena!)

Derek had stood still, his body never twitching, when the male named Apache stepped from the shadows and greet the brown male, Derek merely dipped his head, unwilling to let go of what he was doing.

He did not know the male beside him well, if at all, but he was a fellow pack member and that was all that counted. "Two if I am not mistaken" He replied to the smaller males words of strangers near. The breeze had yet to bring him another whiff to pinpoint where they were, but it was just a matter of time.

(So very lame, bit tis a post.

"Who is there?"

A voice rang through the distance, clearly the source of this foreign scent was a species of his own. This was a decent achievement, he has finally found a way that was meant for him as a new life. Lucas leveled his back to a proper height, his ear shot forth as his golden eyes pierced through into an alerted state. Expressing his serious yet a charming personality. With haste but softly, he stepped his right pad from the shadows, completing a portion of his introduction as the opposite paw showed itself as well. Finally, he applied force into his hind legs as full body emerged, presenting him self to the two wolves; also noting that he might have provided a chance for an assault. His risk was worth the chance, after all.

"Excuse me for alerting you. But I assume you're a member of this pack?"

His tone was calm and peaceful, but it has always been mingled with desire and seriousness since his family had deceased. Eyeing both wolves with caution, the first one who had the speech was a crimson that had leaks of orange, approximately the same size of Lucas. The second one had an azure coat that was covered with a darker pelt on his higher part of his figure. He stood respectfully, awaiting a response from either one of them.

Annessa's ears twitched as the voices of what she assumed were members of the pack reached her ears. She watched as the male she had been following approached the wolves before stepping out herself. Another risky move, but it could be worth it. Besides, what is life without risks? The white female stepped out of the darkness - not like it hid her white fur very well - and revealed herself to the wolves. She dipped her head respectfully before saying, "I apologise for intruding, but, what he said." She nodded toward the one she had followed as she spoke those last three words. It seemed that they were both in search of the same thing, and so there was no need to repeat his question.

The snowy-coloured female looked around at the wolves. They, other than the other loner, seemed to have a similar scent to each other, and they addressed each other as if they were familiar. Definitely signs of a pack. But, would they be open to allowing a newcomer into their midst? Annessa hoped that at the very least, these wolves were not aggressive. She certainly did not want to be run out of their territory.

Apache's frame was frozen in time. He ignored the breeze alongside his flank and only breathed in the scent it had been carrying along with it. The scout's rather large receptorers were raised to their maxium. His grey orbs shifted through the shadows with the attemption of finding the two rough wolves. Apahce blinked when he noticed some movement in the bushes. Stay still, he told himself. The young wolf grunted when he saw a two wolves appear. One carried the sweet scent of a lupa and the other of a musty brute. The lupa carried a hide of white while the male was a mixture of browns, grays and whites. Much like himself.

'Excuse me for alerting you. But I assume you're a member of this pack?'

Apache flicked his ears and removed his frozen stance to calm himself. After all these wolves could have attacked Derek and he both without a warning. But instead they seemed timid and new. "Yes we are both a member of this pack, stranger." he replied. His nare's took in their scents and he softy grunted. He slowly shifted his eyes from the pair to Derek then back to the loners.

Evergreen Forest - Page 15 Empty Re: Evergreen Forest

Linnëa's eyes scanned the forest suddenly, dismissing the storm momentarily as not only Derek's, but voices foreign to her ears caught her attention. Seeing how comfortable Karma and Falco looked, she gave a semi-apologetic, semi-amused glance, before her eyes flicked to Jackie. She took just moments to contemplate what she would speak to the pirate-like female. Though as soon as she thought the word 'female', the depths of her mind screeched 'LASS'; as if she'd gotten it wrong by Jackie's lingual patterns. Almost chuckling at this, she soon allowed a string of words to spill from her mouth like a waterfall. "Feel free to accompany me on my new endeavor, Jackie.. I have loners to meet, it seems." Her voice was matter-of-fact, and even slightly playful or joking; she was in such a mood and almost felt like her brothers. In need of, perhaps, a bit of joking and child's play, though she knew better. They did too, of course, not that the three had ever cared. They had once tricked Linnëa into falling into a ditch, which, admittedly, the khaki female now found pretty hilarious. At the time she was too flabbergasted and irritated to notice how delightfully and hilariously clever of a prank it had been. To fool a wolf such as her the way they had, well, was something of an achievement.

It was only a short time before she came across Derek, and a few other wolves. Pausing lightly, but then continuing to advance, she gave him a greeting with a simple and light smile, and a subtle dip of the head. Four other wolves stood poised about them, Apache included, one of the somewhat newer members. Then, three newcomers, a male, and two females. She smiled to them all invitingly, hoping to come off as someone they might like to be around and all, rather than the big scary alpha some might envision in a pack. Even though, as far as she knew, big scary and overbearing alphas were something of a rarity. Though she had only seen a few packs and was not sure.

"Hello, I'm Linnëa, alpha female. Welcome to the Banishing Winds pack; whom might you all be, and what is your business here, if I might ask?" Her voice was calm, kind, and yet just the touch business like. She was kind, yes, but if any of them had bad intentions she was definitely a force to reckon with. She paused herself; quietly pacing her words and now simply waited for replies from the three newcomers. She almost sat, but restrained herself. Some viewed that as submissive, and the female definitely did not want to seem to be a pushover- she was not.

This is rather lame, and for that I apologize. I'm pretty sick at the moment, so please excuse it, hopefully next time my post will be a bit more along the lines of normal.
