Journey to the West Empty Journey to the West

Post by Rune December 7th 2011, 9:41 pm

(So this is what the journeys name will be, but only because I'm not all that creative right now. When we actually reach the new territory I will post up the name of our new territory. Anyways since we crossed over to the Westward Creek it sort of goes hand in hand to keep going west.

You guys should start off by hearing Kira's howl and then preparing to leave when she gives the word and starts heading off.)

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Post by Guest December 7th 2011, 10:13 pm

Ice stood by the creek, gazing into its depths, so many images flashed across its surface in Ices head, the memories of those who died in its current; she had almost been one if it hadn't been for the male (Crimson). Ice had yet to know his name for she had meant to ask it before. Then a howl, both commanding and yet holding a kindness in it, sounded through the crisp air; it was the packs new alpha female, Kira. Turning her back towards the river Ice surged forward sending up loose soil and leaves, as she ran she felt as if she were flying. At times all her paws would lift off of the ground. Ices figure was a mere white blur as she ran quick and silently, like a blizzard, she smirked at the thought, Perhaps they should start callin' me Blizzard instead of Ice. Ha ha!

Soon Ice skidded to a halt, baseball style as it seemed. Ice bowed her head in respect as she spoke to Kira, "You called?" Ice stood until she dropped into a sitting position, her white-silver tail curling around her front paws, and her green eyes showing a glimmer of deep thoughtfulness in them as she awaited further orders.

Queen watched Kira, as she nodded a welcome back to the pack. "I thank you so much, Kira. I'm glad to be once again, another member of Banishing Winds Pack." she said delightedly, she was now on the other side of the river. Her ears flickered as she listened to the world around her.

"Fine. Although BlackIce knows I'm here t-- BlackIce knows I'm here too. Oh, and my name's Sepya. Yours?"

There was a flash of anger at the mentioning of BlackIce's name though it disappeared quickly as Sepya introduced herself. Her words broke off when he had to examine his wound; he had a feeling that she knew something was wrong. He had been about to open his jaws and reply when BlackIce herself appeared. She paid no attention to him and simply spoke to Sepya. Something that Gale was glad of. While they spoke, a howl flowed through the air and it was instantly recognized as Kira's. So, the beta female thought it time for the rest of them to move on at last. There was a small trickle of sadness that made it past the ice and fire before being destroyed. There was no denying it; Gale did not want to leave. Even though there was nothing left of the territory any more, he still held the memories as if they had just happened. What would he do without the territory? Would his memory fade like he feared it would? The male shuddered inwardly at the thought.

"Shall we head to Kira, Sepya?" He was dead set on staying with Sepya to ensure no one laid a paw on her but if she were friends with BlackIce, he'd tolerate the other fae. "And BlackIce?"

Before those words left his mouth, BlackIce headed towards the sound without a word. That left him and Sepya alone once more. With a small sigh, he turned his attention back to the female and exposed the wound on his flank for a brief moment as he drew himself up to stand.

"Do you want to stay by my side, do you want to follow me or shall I follow?" He was inquiring about how she wished to meet the rest of the pack.

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Time seemed to slow down for Spirit as she gazed out at the charred rubble of what remained of the pack's former territory. Former... did they even have any claim now? Certainly not. Her conversation with Adena seemed to have faded away though the female still seemed to linger around. But even her presence felt cold and numb for Spirit. The trauma of the situation, the heartbreaking reality... it all hit the Lead Scout like a rock and left her exhausted. A clear, low lying howl sounded, breaking Spirit from her drifting stare. Snapping back to reality, Spirit rose to her paws, glancing at Adena near her. "We should get going, seems we'll be on the move shortly."

Picking her way across the ground Spirit kept her eyes locked on her paws, only peering up when she passed some other wolf. As she neared Kira Spirit halted, keeping a short distance away from the gathering crowd; allowing the others and herself some elbow room - though Spirit new it was only so she could help mask her emotions. Straightening her posture Spirit tilted her chin upwards a bit, putting a brave face on. This was her reality. One where the pack was now going on an adventure. For new land, food and a nice warm den where they could sleep. No one would knows what kind of things they should be expecting. Rogues? Other packs? Several dangerous scenarios flip through Spirit's mind before she turns her attention back on the wolves. Waiting, watching, listening. Ready to move out and begin their journey.

Cinnamon turned away from the creek as she heard Kira's howl. The message was unmistakable, even though the black female had said nothing. With one final glance over her shoulder at the burned terretory, silently saying goodbye to the features that had already become part of her life, she trotted over to Kira, head raised to show her eagerness. She gave Crimson a breif, friendly nod as she stopped next to him, facing Kira. However it was Kira she adressed with deep respect in her voice and a duck of the head.

Queen was backed up now, she was farther away from the group. Everyone was wrapped up in their own conversation so she decided to keep her mouth shut. Her muzzle twitched as she heard a wolf said, 'Lead on Alpha Female, I will follow.' she shrugged the words off as she smiled at Kira, deep curiosity over came her mind as she attempted to think of where Maiara and Rune went, she could not quiet pin point it. So she just went with they, left the pack or stepped down.

Once again she glanced around the wolves, seeing the male who snapped at her. She sighed quietly, she looked away and looked behind her to see if anyone was coming. She didn't like to be in the crowd, so she kept her business out of it. She wrapped her tail around her paws, and breathed slowly, forms of white fluffy clouds escaped her maw from her breath. She closed her mouth, and breathed from her nostrils.

Lark stood listening to the three wolves while keeping eyes out around the creek. Once she heard the Alphas howl she raised her head and looked over to the wolves. Once Ice took off, she looked at Gale and the other wolf as they contemplated then looked around at the dead land one more time. She snorted and threw her tail in the air as she dashed off. She came to the group where she saw the Alpha. She scanned and then saw Queen off to the side alone. She walked as she lowered her head to Kira, and stopped beside Queen. From the corner of her eyes she looked down at Queen as she stood there. She then moved her eyes back to Kira. "You know. The only thing that makes a pack strong is the group. And only the group. You should know everything that they allow you to know. So you have to be a part of it. No need to be alone Queen. Don't exclude yourself." She nodded down at Queen as she said this, then shifted off and stood close to the Alpha. She lowered her body for respect and awaited the alpha's decision. She knew they were about to leave, but it didn't mean that she was ready for all the fights a head that she knew the pack would face.

The white brute nodded at Kira's howl. He would be a full member soon. Phantom couldnt get any happier. The burn injuried located on his stomach were not as bad. With water and salvia heeling them, only a scar may be left as a memory. He grunted low as his golden eyes darted from one member to another. He could someday be fighting for his life next to these wolves. I know i'll do anything to protect them, no matter what happens..

Future friends, eh?

Maybe they wouldnt be known as his friends but perhaps a family. A family. Phantom liked the sound of that. He did consider his birth pack a family but not in this way. His fromere group was only made up of his brother, himself, and sister. Not big at all. The siblings only stayed togather for a short while until the depature in the winter of that year.

With another grunt, he breathed in the deep scents of the members, trying to memorize them by heart. He looked towards Cinnamon. I already know her by the shade of her pelt and scent. The same for Kira, he thought. He brute took a few more glances and couldnt wait to meet the rest of the pack.

"Hello all." Linnëa said in a quiet voice, emerging from the trees as if she had materialized from nowhere. Her coat was now free of foreign odors and ash, and her cut on her shoulder was closed, but hair was still missing in the region of her left shoulder. She pained herself to smile, though she did not feel happy. No, the fae felt neutral, as if the entire pack were new to her once again. She had been secluded, separated, of her own accord. But she pushed herself to at least try to be a part of the social life of the pack, and had forced herself to stay in the group rather than trailing behind the rest. Her entire physique was showing emotions of awkwardness and exposure, but she did have some attempt to mask the feelings within her.

She held a slight limp as she slowly stepped nearer to the others, and then stopped, looking back and forth for a moment. Her eyes narrowed, not in an angered way but in the way one does when confused. She had a feeling of fight or flight, and wished to simply retreat within the forest, where only the trees could watch her. For the trees had no voices. They could not and did not judge. She hated judging.

Like now, they probably think I'm some sort of crippled whelp. She thought, exasperated.
(Trying to jump back in. Kind of reflecting on my social awkwardness I have when trying to socialize. It's my whole I've-been-homeschooled-for-a-few-years issue. xD Believe it or not, I'm actually quite shy in real life at times. Until you meet me. Then it's normal Liver! ;D)

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Post by Guest December 8th 2011, 11:00 pm

Ice stood waiting for them all to begin moving, yet she took a few steps towards the old lands, it had been there she had called home. Where she made her first friend and mate, Codex, until he disappeared... Ice felt an old and deep pain at the reminder, she had said she'd never have a mate again but, sometimes she had second thoughts. I won't be looking, I'll be waiting. Like they say, the universe works in mysterious ways, perhaps something good will come down my way... Still Ice felt a strangeness, like part of her was missing, she couldn't quite place what it was.

Now she turned to face the pack, Ice was somewhat eager to go, to leave old memories and start some new ones.

"I'm perfectly fine alone, i work better alone." she replied to the unknown female who oddly knew her name. She shrugged it off, as she waited for farther instructions. She shifted uncomfortably, as she watched the wolves pill in. She stepped back and made more room for others, she didn't like being in a tight place.

Mycroft looked to the strange marked wolf, soon to recognise it as Linnea. She gave a simple greeting. Mycroft smiled towards the female, never really having introduced himself to anyone, it seemed that the female felt the same way, an outsider, someone different. Mycroft too felt that way, whether it was because he was shy or something else. He did not know.

Taking a deep breath he gathered up the courage to pad over to the female and sat about a meter from her. He was staring at the ground only to raise his eyes slightly to speak quickly and quietly
"Hi Linnea, How are you" he couldnt think of much else to say, but was at the stage of now that he felt he needed to talk to someone or might loose his ability to do so at all.

"We should get going, seems we'll be on the move shortly."

"Yeah, of course," Adena replied to Spirit, standing up. This was a new beginning for the pack. Maybe a new beginning for her too. Adena followed the white wolf across to where she sat, but stopped. Spirit was torn down. She could see it. Adena felt a pang of sympathy for the other wolf. Their territory was destroyed, only ashes and cinders remained of the once plentiful forest that had been their home. Adena had to keep reminding herself to keep looking on the bright side of what had happened. The fire would affect the whole pack, but they would get through this, Adena knew they would. Now, she sat down, watching, as ever, as pack life passed her by. They were all chattering, Kira had called them all together. They would indeed be setting off soon. Though it saddened her to think that they would be moving on to other territory, she knew that they would come back to the forest when it grew back to it's original state.

Adena smiled at Kira. She didn't feel the need to say anything so the stood idle as the bulk of the pack gathered around, waiting for what Kira had to say. Adena noticed that there were many loners among them, those that may have recieved acceptance and those that were still seeking it. All were eager to hear what the black female had to say, like Adena herself. She had never been through something like the fire. She had never been put to the test with her loyalty to the pack. But she didn't abandon those in need and save herself. She would never do that. The only thing that mattered in Adena's life was the pack and her loyalty in duty to it's leaders. Nothing mattered but to do her utmost for them; to put them before herself. Loyalty was the one thing that Adena valued the most. She had no respect for anyone who couldn't see past their own problems. Adena sat down and sighed heavily, her sides shuddering. She brought her tail around her paws. Briefly, she shut her eyes, breathing deeply.

Opening them, she cast her gaze downward at her cream paws. She would deal with whatever she had to, whatever difficulties the pack faced, she would stay in loyalty until the end.

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Post by Cashel December 9th 2011, 2:45 pm

The white male turned his head slighty back towards the old lands. He had taken moons upon moons to travel there and now it was all gone. He had to move on now with the others he still would meet along the way. Maybe someday he would call a wolf here, his own. A mate. Every wolf has the dream of having a mate at some point in their life. But he would wait and wait until the perfect one came stalking into his life. Yeah, sure he had a crush on someone already. Phantom did not know if she liked him in return for he only came and joined the others a short period ago. He grumbled under his breath as he followed some of the others. "I'll wait for the right moment to tell her how I feel but perhaps its not meant to be." The white male rolled his eyes as Timber words came into his mind.

"Mates are nothing untili you earn one."

Earning a mate? It sounded foolish to him. If someone liked him for him and he liked them for them, that was all what mattererd, right? Phantom shook his large head attempting to clear his thoughts. It worked. With a clear mind and his head still turned towards the old lands he traveled through, Blackice came into his view. She looked a little nervous or worried. He couldnt make out her experssions to well so he only guessed. "Is somthing wrong?" He spoke to her in a soft voice knowing there was a chance she was hurting on the inside from something.

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Post by Rune December 9th 2011, 11:25 pm

Crimson's eyes darted over toward Kira as she called out for everyone to gather near before they started off on their long journey. As he waited for others to heed the new alpha females summons Crimson allowed his black eyelids to slip over his light brown gaze. Slowly thoughts of a new land began to sink into his thoughts and he could soon see a clear image of what might lay ahead for the pack. However, no matter what images were brought up only time would tell how things would truly play out. Without a doubt though, Crimson knew that the journey itself would not go without tribulations.

Still silent Crimson reviled his eyes again and found that they rested on Adena. The scout had cast her eyes toward her paws and seemed to be lost in her own thoughts. Something that would probably be a common occurrence for most wolves within the now scorched territory. With a steady motion, Crimson moved toward Adena and stopped before the female as he adjusted his posture as well as his expression. “Does it sadden you to leave this land and move on in life?” He questioned quietly before tilting his head sideways as he curiously waited for Adena’s obvious response.

Ices ears flicked back upon hearing Phantom ask, "Is somthing wrong?" Ice instantly collected herself, forgetting the old memories before answering towards him, "No, I am fine... Just, some old thoughts is all. I trust you feel well rested for the time being?" Ice now faced Phantom, meeting his eyes with her own, something inside Ice made her swirl, what it was she dare not speak it aloud; she knew the feeling well, like before, the sensation of a possible romance. Ice quickly erased that thought even though it flashed in her eyes for a brief second, she shifted her glance towards the others and spoke, "We will be on the move soon..." Then she added without thought, "Would you like some company along the way?" Ices mind became shocked momentarily yet she knew somehow she wanted to walk with somebody, she didn't want to take a chance walking beside Sepya at the moment for Gale was her company, Ices eyes seemed to blaze a bit at the thought of the name. Ice returned her soft gaze to Phantom, waiting his reply.

|Eclipse slowly entered the territory as her tail swayed back and forth. A grin swept on her face thinking this well be fun. As her paws silently hit the ground as the thoughts of seeing new faces and being somewhere new flooded her mind. She didnt like being the newbie but she have to do what she had to do. Her orbs flickered around her watching for any threats. A small chuckle escape her throat wanting to see if anything dare to attack her. She change her direction in the shadows getting away from the burning sun that burned her dark coat. She continued her way toward the wolves territory.|

Adena heard Crimson approach, but didn't lift her gaze. She kept her gaze cast downward, she could see his paws as he stopped in front of her. When he asked a question, Adena said nothing for a moment or two. She thought about how she should answer an inquiry like that. She spoke slowly, mulling over her words. "Yes and no," she said finally, raising her head to meet his eyes warily. "Yes, because I have lived there for the past year and it was my only home; the only place where I was accepted. No, because it's a new start for us all, there will be new members, new territory and new challenges," she replied quietly. She frowned fleetingly, looking towards the others. "We all just have to accept what happens and move on," she said with a quiet sigh. Her eyes flitted from wolf to wolf, wondering if anyone was missing. But as far as she could tell, everyone had gathered to hear what Kira had to say. Adena relaxed slightly, but she knew that they were in unfamiliar territory now, they had to stay alert in case there was other wolves here. The fire may have passed, but there were other risks. But if there were others, they were hardly going to be a threat to the pack since they would probably outnumber anyone living here. But if there was a rival pack, then that was a different story. Adena hadn't come across any territory markers, so for now, she was sure they were safe.

She looked back to Crimson sharply. "What's it to you, anyway?" she asked tartly, the words coming out fast, but clear. Her icy eyes glared at him, almost challenging him to answer her. She had seen the way he acted that time a while ago with Makya: he didn't get angry. Adena just wanted to see if it were the same for her - would he answer calmly? Would he answer at all? She trusted few, and she wasn’t sure she trusted this male. She knew nothing about him. He could be up to anything. Nobody cared about her view; so why was he asking? Nobody had ever cared. Yet, here he was. But now, she asked herself one question: why do you push everyone away?

Cinnamon watched as Crimson ignored her and went over to Adena. Nervously she waited to see what happened, Crimson was kind and had very little idea the affect he could have on females. She was releived when Adena appeared to rebuff him for being nosy, but then she thought she saw a flash of regret in the female's eyes

Give him up she ordered herself Let him go his own way and be happy on your own

But she couldn't, and doubted that she would ever be able to as long as she lived. Perhaps one day he would see her as a mate, if she could prover herself.

"Would you like some company along the way?"

A large grin apperared over the snowy white brutes face as he spoke aloud "Of course." Maybe I did make a friend afterall. He felt something else though. Something he never felt before. He just couldnt put the right words to it. What is this feeling? The male thought for a few seconds and refocused on his new company. He sighed and muttered "I dont understand this feeling, one bit." He lowered his gaze off of Blackice for a moment then returned it, with softer eyes. "I hope we can find a sutiable place."

"What's it to you, anyway?"

Crimson only fixed his heads posture as Adena spoke and then turned her gaze from the ground unto him with a cold force. Crimson ignored her overall appearance and simply swished his tail carelessly behind him. Her previous answer was intriguing and based on that alone he was able to get a good feel on where the Scout had placed her loyalties.

"Can't I ask simply because I care about you?" he played out smoothly though his muzzle held no emotion. "As a fellow pack member" he added though he was sure that the female before him wouldn't need the further clarification. "I don't particularly like those who place something such as land above the pack and what the pack needs. My sense of loyalty doesn't allow me to form comfortable bonds with such people." He added calmly before looking away and catching sight of Cinnamon who appeared to be observing him as well as Adena.

"Can't I ask simply because I care about you?"
Cinnamon caught her breath in the start of a snarl at Crimson's words, then forced herself to calm down.

"As a fellow pack member... I don't particularly like those who place something such as land above the pack and what the pack needs. My sense of loyalty doesn't allow me to form comfortable bonds with such people."

She let the breath out with a wooshing sigh, then raised her head to meet Crimson's gaze evenly. In that gaze she willed him to realise her feelings, and that she held her pack before everything, even her own life... that she would die for Banishing Winds, as she would have for Howling Stones, without a second thought.

Journey to the West Empty Re: Journey to the West

Ice gave Phantom a warm grin and replied, "I'm sure we will find a new home. The lands are vast, I know, I've been alone before and I've seen alot. But i haven't seen everything of course." Ice laughed a little at that, no one could know everything, it was impossible. Ice wasn't watching for when the others would leave, besides she could catch up easily with her speed, so being behind a bit didn't bother her much.

Ice said, "We haven't need to worry about being behind a bit either, if they get a bit ahead I'll simply catch up, besides these paws were built for speed." Ice gave a mischievous grin, in her mind she thought herself as the fastest wolf in the pack, at least to her knowledge.
Maybe I'm even faster than the lead scout Spirit. Haha that'd be a pretty cool race! The thought intrigued her but she derailed deliberately off of it, when were they all gonna start moving out?

Ice looked over to the others, they all were still standing or sitting, Ice was starting to grow anxious to be on the move.

Phantom laughed along with Ice "So your like a scout or something from the speed?" The ghostly white sighed a little bit then began to speak again "I wonder what postion i'll be placed at when im accepted..." He started to laugh out loud again "I love to run too ya know?" He couldnt help but grin now "I didnt earn the name Phantom of the mountains for nothing." He couldnt help but think of the native americans that gave him his first name. Other then being called white pup or wolf#1915. "Yeah, the native americans said I'd vanish with the for and wind and repear up on the cliffs by there villege and that i brought them good luck."

She'll probably think im crazy for hanging around humans!

He grunted from the thought. Well I am crazy but it some ways. Phantom just liked to consider himself special in a way. No one quit understood the brute. Not even his siblings. Only he could understand himself. And not many wolves ever get close enough to him to get him. There was only one that got close to him. She was a wolf too. Phantom had thought she'd be the only wolf he'd ever love until she was killled during the time he had stayed with the indians.

There was a battle between the two tribes. The Cheyenne and the tribe he knew and loved, the Hostile Locota. Fionna, the she wolf he had once loves, had given her life to save a native child. But the whole entire Hostile Locota had suffered and lost their lives in only a few hours. Phantom was the only one to live one. He thought his heart was sealed in a tomb of ice forever. But now he was having second thoughts about the word called "love". Perhaps there was another out there awiting for him. Maybe she was in his new family. Maybe, Maybe, Maybe. All his mind was thinking was, maybe.

With another shake to his head he spoke again "Sorry, I tuned out there for a bit. Thinking of the old tribe."
