Mahina looked up suddenly. The blue bird chirped in surprise and fluttered into the tree's. Mahina looked towards Aceline. "Come on Acey!" She started walking towards the main den site slowly as she waited for Aceline to catch up. Mahina had plans to talk to Rune about her acceptance once they arrived at the other den. If he would even listen to her. Mahina cringed at the thought that she might not be accepted back into the pack.

Shadow ran a few circles before sitting back down. She was excited, but mostly happy. She wasn't in her darker mood today!

Ninja ran until he reached the den site. He stopped and panted. He practically sprinted all the way there. His body fell to the soft earth in front of the den and he waited till Rune showed up,

Mahina bounded after her friend. Running made her think of her races with Soran, and how she always managed to make a fool of herself doing them. "Well, practice makes perfect." She winked as Aceline. And when you've been running your whole life you get used to it... She cringed at the thought, but put a grin on her face. She pawed at the dirt, leaving multiple scribbles from her claws. She continued this scribbling for some time, until the dirt was a miniature world of canyons.

Without saying goodbye to Aceline and Kanae, he raced off towards the main den site, and waited for further instructions.

Little did Ninja realize but Kanae slowly trailed after him. She was fearful of being alone lest her shutting down happened. So far, the brute had been the only one to speak to her though the other she-wolf had looked.

When she heard Rune's instructions and his choice of wolves to go with him, she slipped in beside Ninja. Her body was slightly tense at being in such close proximity to him, but she made her self stay. Lightly, she touched his muzzle with her nose.

"Be careful out there," she breathed softy so only he could hear before she moved away from him.

She took a seat near the edge of the clearing, her eyes on all the other wolves who had filed in for the meeting.

Zero turned to see the den site filling with members of the pack. They were all ready and eager to head off, it was time. The male stood on his pas and began to stretch a little. His front legs and pas being the first. He saw Kira and wandered over to her slowly. "Kira-sama, I am sorry that I left so quickly, earlier. It was rude of me to do so, and I am sorry for taking up your time now, but I just wanted to apologise." he quickly says to her. The dips his head to her, and once to Rune before wandering back to where he was sat. Zero's eyes quickly searched the members in the clearing before finding the fae he was searching for.

He began to walk to where she was and dipped his head to her too. "Charna-san, I am sorry for leaving so rudely before, it was disrespectful and I should not have done so." he says to her, his rich dialect had a hint of admiration when he spoke, and his warm, golden eyes showed a certain affection towards her. But only a little. The large male dipped his head to he once more, then stepped out of her way.

"Be careful out there," she breathed softy so only he could hear before she moved away from him.

Ninja looked over and, out of surprise, saw Kanae. He smiled and wagged his tail, thumping against the earthy soil. His body was tense, out of being nervous. He usually didn't talk much and was only close to a few of the wolves here in the pack, but, she made him happy. He stood up and waited for Rune.

Elysia looked around, realizing the pack seemed to be gathering. She followed them quietly, haivng recieved no reply from the head female who was supposed to accept her. She padded silently to join the group, looking for any sign of the leads who would tell them what to do. She shifted her paws, uncomfortable and suddenly alone in such a large group.

Rune watched as the others gathered about the clearing. Once every one within his group was there, they would set off. The others could follow behind when Maiara was ready to set off. With a shift of his paws, Rune stood up and headed for the middle of the clearing. "I know we are sort of rushing this, but sadly we no longer can spare any time. If you are a new arrival and have yet to be accepted then you have three choices. You can be accepted on the way, wait until we reach our destination, or leave now and continue on your way as a loner." He called out his voice loud as he took on a serious posture.

Raising himself off the ground, Insomnia slowly made his way towards the others. Keeping his pace slow, the titan took a while to get there, and even so, he stayed in the background. His eyes locked on the ground, and tail dragging behind him ever so slightly.

Soran rose from his cover of nettles as everyone began to gather in anticipation for the upcoming journey. Ducking his head below the low hanging branches, the male wound his way through the undergrowth, careful to avoid catching his fur on stray pinecones and brambles. His eyes swept over the group quickly before emerging from the tree line to stand by his brother, flicking his tail in short snaps as he waited for the signal to move.

"Maiara?" He spoke her name as a question. "Elysia here, after much council has decided she would like to join the pack her sister so loved, so as to better get to know those that loved her sister."

"As Derek has said, I would be most grateful if you would grant me acceptance to your pack."

Maiara looked over to see Derek and the lone female approach. She nodded as the female was introduced as Pallatsera’s sister, and even although she had not known the former alphess closely, it brought back old memories. They were good memories, but she kept this to herself, knowing how tiresome it would become for Elysia to be constantly compared to her sister. No one needed the pressure of filling someone else’s paw-steps: a feeling that she was quite familiar with.
“Hello Elysia, it’s nice to meet you,” she said with a smile warming her mouth, “Your sister was an excellent leader, and I trust anyone trusted by her. Especially if you were able to get through to Derek,” she continued, glad to see that the male’s tension seemed to have dissipated slightly after talking with Elysia. “And I would be glad to accept you into the pack. Do you have any preconceived thoughts about what rank you’d like to fill?” Maiara asked, waiting to see which path the female would choose.

Kanae was not completely certain about what was to be done, nor was she sure about whether or not she should stay with the pack. They all seemed very kind, but could she live with the ghost of Dagger trailing along in her memories? Such a question would not be answered, not until there was the passing of a great deal of time. Maybe a small eternity would be necessary to forget such a powerful bond and forge a new one.

When Rune spoke of the journey that would be undergone, Kanae stiffened slightly. She did not expect for the pack to move so suddenly, not while she was so used to living here. Perhaps it was for the best. This place was not overly populated by prey and the ratio of prey to predator was one to eight. Why? Because bears, cougars, and wolverines also dominated part of the territory. These threats were impossible to completely annihilate due to their ferocious drive to survive.

While Rune continued to speak, Kanae allowed her mind to wander over the past events. Already she may have made a friend in Ninja for she had taken quite a liking to the handsome brute. Even though he would be a great friend, she desired a fae to speak with also. She recalled when Yvonne would stop and speak with other she-wolves about various matters. Kanae wanted such a luxury too.

Ninja was quite bored. He just wanted the rest of the pack to meet at the den so he can go on his jouney with the members that Rune requested. His eyes glanced over towards Kanae and he saw a confused look on her face. He smiled at her and looked all around the area, wanting something to do.

Kanae noticed Ninja's glance and slowly made her way back to him. As she drew closer, she realized that her fear and confusement was disappearing as if it never existed. Only once had something such as this happened. But, Kanae didn't want to think about that, not now.

Not while the memory was so fresh in her mind. Not while she could still feel his fur brushing hers as they walked side-by-side. Not while she was still able to visualize his honey coloured eyes so clearly.

And definitely not while there was another wolf who bore such a stunning resemblance to his form that her heart ached.

(Bahh. This was horrible -__-)

Elysia perked her ears and turned to Maiara. Her eyes lit up as she dipped her head respectively to the alpha female. Her tail swished with pleasure against the ground as she lowered herself submissively. She looked up at Maiara. Even if she had not purposely lowered herself as a sign of respect, Maiara would still tower over her. Like Pallatsera, Elysia was an unusually tiny she-wolf. Elysia paused to consider, her thoughts racing. She was small, but fast and agile. She looked back to Maiara.

"I wish to serve the pack in any way I can, though my talents may best be displayed as a scout." She waited for Maiara's reply, thinking to Maiara's words on Derek. Breaking through? It hadn't seemed all that difficult to Elysia. She said some things, he began talking. They shared mutual greif. Elysia glanced at Derek beside her, her ears twitching curiously. How difficult was it for others to break through to him? What exactly had Elysia accomplished? Elysia put the thought from her mind, eager to be accepted and join the rest of the pack who seemed to be gathering around a male whom Elysia assumed to be the alpha male.

Charna watched the pack roam about silently. It seemed that they were about to go on some adventure of the sorts. Her eyes roamed aimlessly until Zero came over with a curt apology and left. Charna was left wandering how to respond to that when the male hadn't stayed for an acceptance to the apology. Shrugging it off, she looked around and found the large male who had accepted her. Next to him was a small female.

Recognition flared inside Charna. This was the fae that had shown up before looking for her sister. It looked like she was being accepted into the pack. Charna sat and looked about some more, tail stirring up dirt and fallen leaves. There were little pods of conversation going on, leaving Charna puzzled on which one to join. More entered the clearing. Charna noticed the one who had been out in the fields as he stood next to Rune. The resemblance was striking.

As soon as she was beside Ninja, Kanae risked a glance around the den site. There were a few more wolves here now and she could feel herself shutting down due to there being too many. Her normally bright chocolate orbs were growing dim, her body was growing slack; she sat down. Her head was tilted forth and became almost vertical to the ground. A slight shiver took ahold of her frame. Finally, she felt a tight fear that grasped her heart with ice cold talons.

Soran glanced beside him as Rune called for those who would be continuing on to the den. The male gave a final stretch, loosening the muscles that had begun to tense in the anticipation of the journey. His mind wandered back to the previous trip to the Winter Den, recalling those who were nearly lost along the way, and he realized this trip wouldn’t be any easier. “I’m ready when the others are.” He replied, his eyes scanning the surrounding pack.
