Re: Journey to the Blood Stained Home

Post by Guest on April 28th 2011, 7:35 am

Larka padded slowly towards the pack of wolves, a soft limp prominent in her gait. She was out in the open, clearly visible to the pack's members. The femme flattened her dusty ears, and lowered her tail, showing them that she posed no threat. Her tarnished golden eyes showed anticipation and nervousness as she steadily neared the forms of the wolves, although a glimmer of excitement still remained in her golden gaze. After all, it was the first pack that she had seen in a while, and also a hope of survival, as she knew that she was not self-sufficient enough to last as a loner for much longer.

The marred white female sat down suddenly, still a good distance away from the pack. The chilly breeze rushed harshly through her matted fur, making her shiver, and also bringing a faint scent of the pack to her. It was husky and wild, and mixed with the scents of woodlands. She sighed inwardly then, feeling an overwhelming tiredeness suddenly wash over her. Struggling to push it away, the dainty female stood up quickly, feeling her shoulder click in the process. She limped over to the pack then, slightly faster than before, and finally stopped just a few feet away from a group of wolves. She simply stood there and waited to be noticed, her posture clearly submissive, head lowered, ears flattened, and her light silver tail tucked between her legs.

Ninja got up from his resting position and decided to make some friends. He trotted over to the other wolves and saw a white fae up ahead. He went over to her and introduced himself. "Greetings, I am Ninja." his voice was soft and low.

(Lame, trying to get in the rp. XD)

Larka's ears swiveled around to where the voice was coming from, and turned her muzzle to see a pack male. Her golden eyes blinked warmly at him, she although lowered her head in politeness. "Nice to meet you, Ninja. My name is Larka." Her voice was soft and quiet, although with a friendly tone to it. The femme looked around almost nervously before sitting down, still aware that she was in another pack's territory, uninvited. She curled her somewhat fluffy tail around her paws, and returned her attention to the male in front of her, golden eyes wide.

His body tensed up. His light brown orbs looked at her and felt calm and happy. He didn't expect her to respond so quickly.
"Nice to meet you as well Larka. Are you new here?" he shook his head in disappoinment that he couldn't come up with anything better to say. 'Oh well' he thought, 'it's worth a shot.' he sat down and waited for a reply.

Rune nodded his head briskly in agreement before he turned away from Maiara and bounded off towards the den site. Although before he disappeared through the trees completely he glanced over his shoulder as he made sure his sandy colored mate was going to follow him. In his head, he had already put together the team who would set out ahead of the others in search of the new den site. It would be comprised of Falco one of his hunters, Kira his beta female, Ninja a new guard for the pack, his brother Soran and then Rune himself. All the other members would be left in Maiara's, Derek's, and Karma's, paws.

(Rather lame...Although I think my team is pretty well planned out! Although I just started listing some people...so yeah..I didn't chose anyone because I liked them better or anything. XD )

Soran padded swiftly though the underbrush towards the pack’s densite, his eyes scanning the dry leaves ahead of him in hopes to find a sign of small prey. The dimming rays of the sun slid behind the clouds and a chilling wind pushed though the trees, causing the male to ruffle his fur in discomfort. His paws crunched heavily as he slowed to a stop at a clearing of pine; the scents of Maiara and Rune registered and he gazed around, hoping to see the sandy colored she-wolf accompanied by his brother.

Falco kept watch laying aside Silver, his head between his front paws and ears perked for the slightest of sounds. He soon heard ruffling through the trees and lifted his head only to see the Alpha Male Rune approaching, Falco smiled faintly and his tail thumped behind him seeing that Rune was out of what ever over came him earlier. Rune was a fair few meters away so after a brief minute Falco put his head back down between his paws glancing around, he gave a huff and relaxed again.

Silver's ears twitched at the faint rustling of Rune entering the clearing. Opening her emerald eyes, she watched him, as if waiting for a coming explosion. She knew that was a rare occurrence, but it had shaken her. She stood, shakily, on her three good legs and hobbled into the forest a short way, hating herself for acting childish but not able to control her actions. She then settled under a young pine, feeling safe under it's pokey embrace.

Falco swept to his paws seeing Silver trying to get to hers, he helped her up. He wondered where she was going when she started to hobble away. "Si..Sil...Silver he stuttered wondering where she was going and he saw that she soon settled down under a pine tree. He wondered why she loved to be under the pines so much. He stepped forth a bit wanting to follow her but then stopped realising that she might want to be alone. He sighed deeply and sat looking to his paws.

Queen shuffled her paws, she frowned slightly as she closed her eyes. She slowly fell asleep; laying there she was on her side and curled in a ball.

Spirit shifted lightly on her paws, swaying slightly with the chilling wind that whipped past her. Her white fur was spotted with moving patches of cream as the last of the sun's rays reached her through the swaying oak tree above her. Her blue eyes scanned the clearing silently, there weren't very many around the densite at the time but those who were seemed to have a hanging dread in the air. Spirit shifted once more, flicking her tail over her paws; she felt uneasy. Sighing the she-wolf took to watching the sky as the ever burning sun made it's decent below the horizon.

Shadow trotted through the trees. She stayed in the shadows. She didn't want to seem like an enemey. A raven followed her. Shadow eyed it. The raven looked back at her with its dark eyes. Shadow flicked her ear and continued until she smelled another wolf.

Soran lowered his head to rest on the edges of his paws as he watched the sun's light slowly disappearing behind the horizon. One by one, stars struggled to become apparent against the darkening sky, although the moon was still invisible to the eye. The male’s ears twitched as he heard a shuffle and was met with a familiar scent of Spirit. However, something else appeared to be making their way closer to him and he raised his head to gaze behind his back at the dark tree line curiously. The fresh autumn leaves provided to stealth, and he felt a shift of uneasiness at the unknown presence.

Ninja, decided to make some friends. He had been in the pack for a little while and still had no friends he could trust.
He padded over to where a group a wolves were and sat down near them, hoping to catch someone's attention.

Shadow peered through the shadows. She saw two wolves. She wondered what to do...
Her mind generated three options:
Attack
Run Away
Approach with Kindness
She growled and left the saftey of the shadows.
"Greetings. I am Shadow." she said bluntly.

Ninja perked his ears at the sound. He turned his head towards that direction and saw a wolf he had never seen before.
"Hello, I am Ninja. Nice to meet you."
he said kindly, hoping to start off with a friendly conversation and hope everything goes well.

Spirit flicked her ears as she caught sight of Soran laying down nearby. She paused for a moment before rising to her paws and making her way over to him. She sat down next to him only to feel eyes on her back. Spirit glanced behind her to see a dark wolfess stepping forth from the shadows of the trees. "Greetings. I am Shadow." She heard her say.

Spirit remained quiet for several moments. She didn't know exactly what she should say in the situation. The she-wolf had simply appeared from what seemed like no where. She shifted nervously, how long had she been hiding in the shadows? The white she-wolf shifted her gaze towards Soran though only briefly before returning them to the stranger. She smiled, despite her uneasiness. "Hello Shadow." She spoke slowly, "My name's Spirit."

Ninja realized that the wolf wasn't really talking to him. He felt really dumb at that moment. He took a few steps back and walked in the opposite direction, wondering what he sould do next.

Soran nodded towards the white she-wolf and opened his mouth to reply, but before he could he heard a voice drift from behind the trees. "Hi Shadow." He said casually, his tail flicking away a pile of leaves that had settled over it. At the loner’s comment his ears flickered once again and he considered her near request. “Well for now, I believe the Alphas may be busy, but perhaps you’ll be able to spot them before night falls.” He replied, though with the sun sinking lower by the minute the task seemed nearly impossible. “It may be hard to find them in the fading light.”

Spirit nodded silently at Soran's words, keeping herself quiet. She shifted as a silence seemed to come over the bunch. "I'm sure they'll be returning soon, though." Spirit glanced around the clearing; at least she hoped they would. The she-wolf shivered as a chilling breeze swept through the night air.

Soran ruffled his fur as a chilling autumn breeze seemed to sweep through the forest, sending leaves scattering though the night sky. Despite the early warning signs of winter, his winter coat was not yet fully grown, though it was becoming matted in places where the texture was thickening. He rested his head on his paws once more though sleep failed to overcome him. The last rays of the sun were still poking out above the horizon, but there were slowly slipping away as the minutes ticked on.

With one last look towards Maiara's direction, he turned and headed for the clearing of the current den-site. His head was held rather high and behind him, his tail flickered, as he caught a glimpse of a few others nearby. "If I may I would like everyone's attention." He barked out loudly so that it echoed off the surrounding trees and then disappeared into the air as he hoped to gather everyone's eyes and ears. The nights were becoming cooler as were the days; winter was approaching at a rapid pace and before anyone realized it the harsh season would be upon them all. With this in mind, Rune knew the pack could no longer afford to stand around if they planned to arrive on schedule to an unknown den-site.
